Alliance of Bar Associations For Judicial Screening Releases Judicial Evaluation Results for the November 2, 2004 Retention Election

Chicago -- The Alliance of Bar Associations For Judicial Screening (Alliance) today released its judicial evaluation results for the 74 judges seeking retention on the November 2, 2004 ballot. The Alliance is a group of nine Chicago-area bar associations that come together to investigate and interview candidates seeking to become judges and judges seeking retention. Each bar association produces independent evaluations. The results are listed on the attached table.

Every Alliance bar association reporting judicial ratings found two of the judges seeking retention were found Not Recommended for retention: Judge Dorothy Jones and Judge Susan McDunn.

These results can also be found at, www.voteforjudges.org, a website devoted to voter education regarding judicial elections.
